Global Policy Coherence Calendar features the following events relating to climate.

The Global Policy Coherence Calendar is designed to explore the coherences and in-coherences between the flow of 2009 international events effecting the global climate crisis and the global financial crisis. The site permits looking at the 2009 calendar separately from the perspective of those actively involved in the climate regime, the trade regime, or the financial/monetary regimes. In each case, the layout displays the policy links to the other regimes. The site also permits looking at calendar from the perspective of the constituency – G20, UN, NGO etc. In this case, the layout displays where one constituency’s events are intended to influence the events of another constituency.

Additional suggestions for the calendar can be sent to gleckman at mindspring dot com.

Greenland Dialogue (Ilulissat, Denmark)

Although the list of attending dignitaries has yet to finalised, the Greenland Dialogue traditionally attracts top ranking policy makers from around the globe. The innovative conference began in 2005 when Danish Environment Minister Connie Hedegaard got 20 other environment ministers together in Greenland for a closed-door 2-day meeting. Such was its success that it continues to this day. What makes the Greenland Dialogue unique among the plethora of global initiative summits is that each minister may bring only one official with them. The media is not allowed to observe, and no microphones or negotiation documents are allowed in. The concept is to talk about climate issues, not spend time hashing out concrete conclusions.
