Selamawit Zewdu Yetemegn is an Assistant Researcher in the project Horn of Africa and the Mekong River Basin at the Institute for Environmental Security in The Hague

Selamawit did her International M. Sc in Environmental Science at Saxion Universities of Applied Sciences NL/ Greenwich University UK and a B. Sc in Chemistry at Jimma University Ambo College Ethiopia. Her areas of expertise focus on global environmental management and policy issues.

Selamawit joined the institute in September 2009 as an intern in the ESPA Horn of Africa programme. As of February 2010 Selamawit is working as an Assistant Researcher on the current ESPA case study (The Mekong River Basin).
