Margaret Brusasco-Mackenzie, LL B (King's, London) LL.M. (Yale ) is Senior Adviser to the Institute for Environmental Security and has been involved in its work from the beginning.

She has worked with the Prince of Wales' Programme for Business and the Environment, the Stakeholder Forum and the Green Globe Network.

Most of her professional life was spent in the European Commission, where she worked in the Directorates-General for External Affairs and for Environment, where she was Head of International Affairs and Adviser on Sustainable Development.

She has taught in universities in the United Kingdom, Lesotho, and Belgium.
