Carlo Clini is currently working for the Veneto Region as Head of the Brussels' Unit for the Coordination of European Projects, European Network and Institutional Relations and he is holding the position of deputy director of Brussels' Representative Office..
Having a strong economic background Carlo made a professional career in European Affairs. He studied political economy at the University of Parma (BA, MA) and International Economics at Boston University where he obtained a postgraduate certificate in International Relations for Business and a Master of Sciences in Administrative Studies with concentration in Multinational Commerce. Since 1997 he spent his professional life in Brussels, working in European Affairs both in the public and private sector, ranging from consultancies to multinational companies, National and Regional institutions. Geraud is also responsible of setting up and managing the new IES office in Brussels.
He is specialized in EU and World Bank funded projects he has carried out in various countries including China, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Central and Eastern European countries and the Balkans.
Carlo is currently enrolled as a PhD student at the University of Kent in Brussels, in the domain of international conflict analysis with specific research focus on environmental security.
