Bernard Snoy et d'Oppuers
Bernard Snoy is Visiting Professor at the Institute of European Studies of the Catholic University of Louvain and Vice-Chairman of the International Robert Triffin Foundation.
From 2005 to 2008 he was Coordinator of the OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities. Before that, he was Director of Table II of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe (2002-2005)
Bernard has gained extensive institutional experience as Executive Director of the World Bank (1991-1994) representing Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Turkey, and Executive Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development representing Belgium, Luxembourg and Slovenia (1994-2002).
From 1988 to 1991 he was Head of Cabinet of the Minister of Finance of Belgium in charge of European and international affairs as well as financial and monetary questions.
Bernard Snoy is Bachelor in philosophy (UCL, 1964), Master in Law (UCL, 1967), Master in Economics (UCL, 1969) and Ph.D. in Economics (Harvard University, 1974).Back to people page
