Jonathan Solomon

Jonathan Solomon is Research Assistant within the Hague team. He is currently working on reporting on selected subjects in the field of the international dimension of environmental security and he is involved in the development of the HELF project.

Coming from a very different background focused on Sports Science and Economics, he learned a lot on his way into his Politics and English studies.

Since a few months he is chair of the student organization of the Global Marshall Plan Initiative organizing lectures relating to globalization and sustainability. He is also member of the organisation Studieren-ohne-Grenzen e.V., which promotes scholarship programs to students in crisis regions (Congo and Chechnya) in return of a concrete program to help to rebuild their regions.

During the last year he took part in two international simulations, the Model E.U. in Constance and the Harvard World Model U.N. in The Hague where he learned to negotiate and focus different interests and ideas into a common result. Thanks to his sport career, he learned a lot about being a team player and as a playmaker, leading a team and take over responsibility for himself and his teammates.
