What role for the military in the lead up to Copenhagen?
Officially launched in Delhi on 15 September 2009, the project on Climate Change and the Military will seek to produce a clear statement calling for urgent climate action with the help of a Military Advisory Council (MAC) gathering high level military officials from around the world. Led by IES and its partners, this project represents an important effort to build on the american report "National Security and the Threat of Climate Change" produced in 2007 by 11 retired military officials.
